RADO POLIC- MANAGER, OPERATIONS & LIABILITY UNDERWRITING

Rado Polic joined Brooklyn Underwriting Pty Ltd (previously Oceanic Underwriting) in 1995 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter responsible for the development of the Property & Liability portfolios.
During his time at Oceanic, Rado in his capacity as a senior underwriter was heavily involved in successfully negotiating the procurement of Liability & Property binders at Lloyds.
Rado has many years experience in the General Insurance market commencing his career with the Guardian Royal Exchange (GRE) IN 1988. Rado joined Zurich Insurance Group in 1992 following their acquisition of GRE.
Rado’s current role is that of Operations & Liability Underwriting Manager.

ROB MOFFITT - MANAGER, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & IT&T UNDERWRITING 

Rob has worked in the insurance industry since 1992 and has held a number of senior executive positions specializing in the underwriting of IT&T risks since 1996. In that time he has worked for and represented a number of US and UK insurers who specialize in IT&T risks. Rob holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree, has a Graduate Diploma in Financial Services and is a Chartered Accountant.

Rob is responsible for the strategy and technical underwriting of Brooklyn’s IT&T practice and products.

KATE JONES - DEVELOPMENT & DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

Kate Jones joined Brooklyn in November 2008. Kate has spent numerous years working as a professional risks insurance broker, specialising in the IT&T sector before joining Brooklyn. Kate has also worked for one of Australia's largest insurers and another niche broking firm where she has gained valuable experience working on a variety of professional risk accounts. Kate's experience as a broker provides her with a deep understanding of the needs of the broking environment.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Communication and a Diploma in Financial Services. She is a member of the Australian Professional Indemnity Insurance Group (APIG) and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

CINDY LAU - PROFESSIONAL RISKS UNDERWRITER

Cindy Lau joined Brooklyn as a Professional Risks Underwriter in May 2009. Cindy has held a number of underwriting positions with Australia’s largest insurers and a reinsurer specialising in Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Malpractice, Defamation, Employment Practices, Trade Credit, Builders Warranty and Casualty.
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and is Tier 1 compliant under the Australian Financial Services Reform Act 2001.

DAVID PORTEOUS - PROPERTY UNDERWRITER

David joined Brooklyn in January 2010 in the position of Underwriter. He has spent the last 12 years in a variety of positions in the insurance and reinsurance markets in Australia. Prior to joining Brooklyn, David was a Director and partner in a specialist independent (re)insurance consultancy based in Sydney. From 1997 to 2005 David spent 8 years with Reinsurance Australia Corporation Ltd. David is a Senior Associate of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance and is a Certified Insurance Professional (CIP). He holds a Bachelor of Business degree.

David’s current role is that of Underwriter for the Valuers PI and EPS / ISR facilities.

DOUG DALY - PROPERTY MANAGER

Doug Daly is a widely recognised industry veteran within the Australian Insurance market. Doug spent over 32 years with Commercial Union / CGU in various senior executive positions, and in the last 8 years has been running his own independent consulting firm specialising in areas of underwriting training and risk control type surveys. Doug officially joined Brooklyn in June 2010 in the position of Property Manager & Surveyor with overall responsibility for the Brooklyn EPS facility. He is a Fellow of both the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
