Brooklyn is building on its solid base by implementing a new internal and management structure. These changes will allow Brooklyn to stay true to its commitment to superior service and will streamline the current underwriting, operations, and development functions
Brooklyn’s General Manager, David Porteous has appointed several new starters including:-
- Tim Fairbrother as Business Development Executive. Tim joins Brooklyn after 10 years’ as a professional rugby player having forged a career with the Wellington Hurricanes, Western Australia Force and also UK powerhouse, The Harlequins. Tim has hit the ground running and is determined to make a splash in the Insurance Industry.
- Madeeha Zali & Shane Golding have both accepted Assistant Underwriter roles in the Professional & Commercial Lines respectively. Having earned these positions as a result of tackling previous roles in the company, this is a great reward for all the hard work they have put in!
- Alex Batson, Max Wood & Jeremy O’Connor have been hired as Team Administrators across our Underwriting functions. Alex, Max & Jeremy are fresh, enthusiastic and see Insurance as a career of choice!
These changes are coupled with the strengthening of the management team. Brooklyn’s veteran underwriter, Rado Polic, assumes the role of Underwriting Manager, Commercial Lines and has responsibility for overseeing all the technical underwriting functions across Brooklyn’s EPS (Property) and Liability books of business.
Industry figure, Rob Collyer with over 20 years’ experience has now settled into his large gig as the Underwriting Manager, Professional Lines, Rob is responsible for all aspects of the Professional Lines Portfolio.
Denver Van Gramberg, Manager Marketing & Distribution, continues to head up Brooklyn’s development activities and will be working closely with David to continue the rapid evolution of the Brooklyn brand and broaden distribution capabilities right across Australia.
